The creative project Dreams Media Molecule's game was quite unique and ultimately only found a home within a hardcore community. Long-term plans were quietly abandoned. Consequently, live support for the game will end this year.
This will become September 01, 2023 This will happen, as developer Media Molecule announced in an update. Afterwards, they will focus on a new project. Dreams It can then be used as usual, there just won't be any more updates.
"You can still play Dreams after September, create content and share it with others, but we will no longer release any updates for the game or events like DreamsCom, All Hallows' Dreams, or the Impy Awards. We are incredibly proud of the work we have done developing Dreams – such as our content releases, Create updates, and live events – and we are endlessly grateful to the community for their faith and continued contributions since launch."
Dreams don't disappear completely
Until then, there are still a few updates in the pipeline, including the Tren update, which brings a significant improvement to the animations, as well as a final update for the Create mode.
Furthermore, creations will also be available in Dreams We'll share this on social media channels, streams, Impsider summaries, and so on. In-game curation work will also continue to ensure Dreamiverse feels as vibrant as it always has and to bring amazing creations from the community to light.
“We know this will not be an easy message for everyone, and it certainly wasn’t an easy decision – Dreams was a special project for Media Molecule and helped this burgeoning community of game developers, tinkerers, creatives, employees and dreamers to grow and express themselves.”
As it is in Dreams The details can be found on the Media Molecule website ...
