It's getting cold and dangerous again in Villedor. Techland is sending... Dying Light 2 with this year's Winter Tales – Gifts from Above 2025The holiday season continues with another event. Anyone expecting just snowflakes and decorations is underestimating this update. This event focuses less on atmosphere and more on clear incentives, including new enemies, noticeable progression, and rewards that don't feel like a chore.
Baka is back, but this time the grind is worth it.
Baka is back in the heart of Villedor, doing what he does best: offering deals and demanding work. New bounties will boost your reputation and gradually unlock his shop's inventory. Payment isn't made with credits, but with candies collected from seasonal infected like Naughty Biters, Virals, and Ice Spitters. Uncle Snow takes the cake and is no pushover.
Those who accumulate enough reputation points will receive a letter from Baka. This letter to Santa isn't a joke; it's the key to special airdrops. These events are guarded by the toughest enemies but also deliver the best loot, including seasonal weapons and gear that actually add value.

Community goals instead of a lone wolf mentality
Techland is once again offering weekly community challenges with clearly defined objectives. Between December 18th and 23rd, Naughty Biters kills will be the focus, followed by Naughty Virals until December 30th. Uncle Snow will round out the challenges until January 8th. Each week will unlock themed weapons and charms, including the Fractal Frost Axe for the New Year. Participants will be rewarded.
New to the game is the Evolving Bundle system. The Night Wolf Evolving Bundle progresses through a four-part questline, culminating in the Crimson Werewolf set. This includes two weapon variants, an outfit, six gear pieces, a paraglider skin, Wolf's Claws, and an exclusive grappling hook variant. This progression is tied to gameplay and cannot be unlocked through purchases. A rare bright spot in the in-game store.
The Winter 2025 event combines seasonal visuals with tangible gameplay improvements. Anyone who was planning to jump back in now has a compelling reason.
