The Mirror's Edge reboot is following roughly the same path as the original. Not a resounding success, but in the long run a valuable IP that will remain part of EA's portfolio.

The reviews for Mirror's Edge: Catalyst were once again rather lukewarm, but EA isn't using that as a reason to shelve the entire franchise again. While it's currently impossible to say whether there will be another Mirror's Edge game, you can be sure that they are listening to the players who are eager for a new title, even if it might take a while.

According to EA's Executive Vice PresidentPatrick Söderlund said it would of course be nice to sell around 20 million copies of a game with a Metascore of 95, but that's pure wishful thinking. There are also great games that simply don't sell for whatever reason, as well as not-so-great games that everyone plays. That's entertainment in a nutshell.
