In just a few days, EGX will open its doors in Berlin for the second time, a kind of smaller gamescom with a slightly different concept that aims to avoid the massive crowds. The organizers have now summarized what there is to see in Berlin this year.

The event's program is wide-ranging: For example, there will be a total of five live gameplay presentations for Cyberpunk 2077 in the EGX Theatre on Saturday and Sunday. In addition, upcoming top titles can be tried out every day, including DOOM Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Shenmue III, and Zombie Army 4. In total, more than 100 games are represented at EGX Berlin. A wide variety of genres are covered: from farming simulators to the space shooter Everspace 2, from strategy games like Stronghold Warlords to adventure games like Blacksad.

Those who love competition will also find plenty to enjoy at EGX Berlin: The BIG Clan offers masterclasses in League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for anyone wanting to hone their skills, and FIFA champion Cihan Yasarlar gives lessons in FIFA 2020. In addition, there are coaching sessions in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Rocket League, and PUBG, as well as the opportunity to compete against other visitors in "Instant Battles" in the PS4 Tournaments area.

Anyone wanting a behind-the-scenes look at gaming can learn more in over 30 presentations. For example, Hans Ippisch will be showing the Intellivision Amico's case and controller in a world exclusive. The home entertainment system is scheduled for release on October 10, 2020. Legendary developer Jon Hare ("Sensible Soccer") will explore how to simultaneously create better games and run a better business. And Björn Pankratz ("Gothic," "Elex") will explain why developing open-world RPGs is pure masochism.

EGX Berlin 2019 will take place from November 1st to 3rd at STATION Berlin. The mix of top-tier titles, exciting indie games, presentations and panel discussions with developers and experts, esports including coaching, cosplay and retro gaming was a huge success at its premiere in 2018, attracting over 15.000 visitors.
