It's the weekend, which means there are tons of games to choose from. Here are our tips for the week!

The weekend is almost here, and it's finally time to get back to gaming! Like every Friday, we're presenting three games that are especially worthwhile this weekend for various reasons. Spoiler alert: There are so many great new games this week that one weekend simply isn't enough!

Astro Bot

We had expected many things beforehand, but that the new Astro Bot to over 100 reviews We were quite surprised to see it boasts a Metascore of 94 (!). The adventure of what is undoubtedly the most important PlayStation mascot is now the highest-rated game of the year so far. The September 6th release couldn't be more convenient, as you can dedicate your entire weekend to the little robot. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better way to spend your weekend.

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions

Last Tuesday, the new Playstation Plus Essential-Games have been unlocked and with Harry Potter Quidditch Champions Among them is a completely new title. This sports game lets you once again immerse yourself in the popular fantasy universe of the Wizarding World, where you can hunt for points and the Golden Snitch alone or with others. The 3v3 multiplayer should provide enough motivation for several weeks and months.

Concord

Sony's highly anticipated hero shooter is entering its third weekend, and of course everyone wants to be there. Okay, all joking aside. Concord It turned out to be exactly the flop we all expected and has already been discontinued today. It's definitely one of the latest games you won't be able to play this weekend. Not that we would have recommended it otherwise. How about… instead?

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2

Admittedly, it actually seems Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2 The game officially launches on September 9th. However, since we're in 2024, you can, of course, get started a few days earlier if you're willing to dig a little deeper into your pockets. Anyone who pre-orders the Gold or Ultra Edition gets four days of early access and can start playing today. The Gold Edition includes a DLC and the Season Pass, among other things, so if you were planning on spending the long haul slaying aliens anyway, this short-notice pre-order might be worthwhile. Especially since the initial reviews promise a truly entertaining third-person shooter.

Bonus tip: More shooter fun can also be found in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, that today launches into Open Beta.

As always, we wish you a wonderful weekend, no matter which game you choose!
