Visitors to gamescom were able to get a glimpse of the new Hunter Jack in the co-op shooter 'Evolve' last week, which is now available to everyone.

Furthermore, developer Turtle Rock has released the patch notes for the latest update, which includes the new arena map, "Killing Pit." Additionally, matchmaking based on skill/rank has been improved, and new medals and emblems have been added. Here are all the other changes:

  • Fixed a bug where a group of four players would establish a connection to another player, but the connection would immediately drop, and the players would end up in hosting status when searching with the group.

  • Fixed a bug where players would fall through the world when joining an ongoing game.
  • Fixed a bug where players would get stuck in an empty lobby if they joined a group of four players using matchmaking.
  • Players with strict NAT can now find each other via the matchmaking feature.

  • Improvements to the loading process and memory usage have been made, fixing various graphical glitches and rare crashes.
  • Fixed a rare crash that occurred when exiting multiplayer mode.

user interface

  • Fixed a bug where the perk selection and all HUD elements would disappear during development to Phase 2 if the player first played an Arena mode match and then another mode.

  • News items in the main menu's news feed should now appear faster.

  • Player substitutions are no longer possible after the end of the round.
  • Possible fix for corpses falling through the floor and out of the game world.
  • Jetpack improvements
    • New code ensures consistent evasive maneuver range and maximum evasive maneuver speed.
    • Players can now slowly ascend using jetpacks without fuel.
    • The controls react faster during slow ascents if the player encounters an object in the air.
    • Fixed a bug where the jetpack would sometimes turn off after dodging, causing the dodge speed to be available for longer than intended.

Furthermore, there are numerous optimizations to the mobile arena and other aspects of the game, the changelog of which you can find on the official site can read.
