The new patch is now available for Fallout 4 Bethesda is focusing this time on long-awaited improvements to Creation Club content handling, the user interface, and overall stability. Console players, however, will have to wait a little longer for the memory expansion.
The changes are largely based on community feedback. Issues with Creations Packs on Steam have been fixed, older save files now correctly recognize Creations Club content, and warning messages reliably appear when content has been disabled but not deleted. For everyone who expands their Fallout world with add-ons, this means significantly fewer headaches when loading and saving.
User interface and navigation improvements
The UI has received some fine-tuning: category lists no longer overlap, keyboard inputs work on all platforms – including Steam Deck and ROG Ally – and missing elements such as keyboard layouts or gallery views are now correctly visible again.
Menu transparency and the "Best Results" sorting option are also included. were adjustedPlayers also benefit from more stable input in the Creations menu and optimized handling when quickly reopening the store or using the PlayStation overlay.
Crashes are largely a thing of the past thanks to the patch. Issues with downloading all Creations, loading older data, menu inactivity, logging out, or exiting the Creations menu have been addressed, especially on PS4 and PS5. Rare crashes after store purchases or when launching new games with Creations enabled have also been fixed.
Text, localization and final polishing
Special characters such as apostrophes are now also displayed correctly, and the prompts for additional purchases of the Anniversary Upgrade fit into the designated space in all supported languages.
For fans, this means: a more stable game, less frustration when using Creations, and smoother menu navigation – a step towards a more polished gaming experience without having to wait for new features. The storage expansion for consoles will follow in the new year, so the wish list can soon be checked off there as well.
