An epic game like 'Fallout 4' naturally needs the right background music, and publisher Bethesda has some information about it.

Today, Bethesda's official website is dedicated entirely to the soundtrack, which was consistently tailored to the appropriate situation in the game and thematically underscores certain moments. Game Director Todd Howard describes the soundtrack as follows:

"Everyone has heard a third of the music before – for example, Bing Crosby's greatest hits. The next third consists of somewhat lesser-known tracks by major artists, such as 'Orange Colored Sky' by Nat King Cole. And the last third? This is where things really get interesting, because these are often obscure pieces by long-forgotten bands, with sometimes absurd lyrics and a very unique sound."

Fallout 4 will feature roughly three times as many music tracks as Fallout 3. Bethesda has released some audio samples today to give you a first impression. Available on Spotify The entire blog post about Fallout 4 and the soundtrack can be found at this link.

Fallout 4 will be released on November 10, 2015.
