It is still not entirely clear in which direction the new ‘Fallout 76'It's happening, which Bethesda officially announced a few days ago. Insiders initially spoke of strong online elements, which probably isn't to everyone's liking.
These statements have since been somewhat revised, and it is now claimed that Fallout 76 remains a true Bethesda game with a clear focus on story, even though it will likely include some online elements. —Kotaku's Jason Schreiner commented to:
"The second thing is, I'm very optimistic about this game. The rumor I've heard (both the first and the second) is that it's really cool, interesting, and just as story-focused as any other Bethesda Game Studios title. It might have multiplayer and base-building, but hey, it's still a Fallout game. I don't want to hype up a game I haven't seen or played, but I also don't want people to be so closed-minded that they spend every day for the next nine days on Reddit because this game isn't like the last three."
This seems to mean that all cards are open again regarding Fallout 76, since Kotaku apparently doesn't know as much about the game as initially claimed and is also only relying on rumors.
The premiere of Fallout 76 will take place at the Bethesda Showcase this coming weekend.
