Fallout star Aaron Moten talks about the planned end of his character in season 5 or 6. What this reveals about the future of the hit series on Amazon.

The world is radioactively contaminated, but apparently full of series potential: While fans still have to wait until Fallout Season 2 on Amazon Prime Video With his appearance, actor Aaron Moten caused quite a stir at Liverpool Comic Con. According to him, his character Maximus might not meet his dramatic end until season 5 or 6 – a clear indication that the showrunners of the acclaimed post-apocalyptic series are thinking far beyond the current horizon.

Season 5 or 6? Fallout star reveals long-term plans for the series.

“I was given the beginning and the end of my character – and the end is in season 5 or 6,” explained Moten, in a video clip that's now circulating on the show's Reddit page, emphasizes that the schedule has been fixed since the beginning and there don't appear to be any changes so far. Whether this should be interpreted as an optimistic long-term plan or an ambitious dream remains unclear.

One thing is clear, however: the Fallout series is not lacking in momentum. With a whopping 94% from critics and 92% from viewers on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as 17 Emmy nominations, Amazon has a true prestige project on its hands. A rare stroke of luck, considering how difficult many video game adaptations still struggle to gain traction.

Emmy chances, fan hype, and a crazy genius

That the series aims to be more than mere fan service with a pixelated past is also underscored by the words of Walton Goggins, who plays the Ghoul in the series. He already described season 2 in February as "absolutely amazing" – and that was despite the fact that production was still in full swing at the time. "It will be something really special.", he promised Deadline.

Another reason to look forward to it: Macaulay Culkin, known from cult classics and scandalous columns alike, will take on a recurring role in season 2 – as "mad genius", as has leaked out. The tone: apparently still bizarre, dangerous and full of dark humor.

Ob Fallout Whether the show actually makes it to season 6 ultimately depends not only on story plans, but also on viewership numbers, streaming algorithms – and whether Amazon continues to pursue nuclear-fueled success. But if there's one thing you can't accuse the series of, it's a lack of ambition.
