The release of the spin-off 'Far Cry: New Dawn' has also revived interest in 'Far Cry 5', even though the chronological order from the story's point of view is actually the other way around.
Ubisoft has confirmed this in a new update, explaining why they've revisited Far Cry 5 to fix various bugs. Normally, support for Far Cry 5 would have ended long ago, especially now that all expansion packs are available. However, to ensure new players can also enjoy the shooter to the fullest, patch 1.12 is now available.
Regarding this, it is said from Ubisoft:
"With the launch of Far Cry New Dawn, we're delighted to see an increase in the activity on Far Cry 5. We'd therefore like to take the opportunity to fix a few minor graphical issues."
At around 8.5 gigabytes, the update isn't exactly small, but more precise details about the changes are currently unavailable. Broadly speaking, it describes graphical optimizations and fixes.
