Developer Impulse Gear is about to release their VR shooter 'Farpoint', and today they're giving a sneak peek at the official soundtrack.
This time the soundtrack is also the work of Stephen Cox of Unified Sounds and alternates between atmospheric and orchestral sounds to a cinematic action score that goes beyond the standard cinematic experience.
"It was pure thrill to be a part of the sonic world edifice in Farpoint," Cox said. “Every bleak, beautiful, or frightening virtual space has its own sonic and musical signature. The added layer of interactivity with a VR game creates a new dimension in storytelling, as well as in emotional content. Storytelling is at the heart of this composition.”
Two tracks from the Farpoint soundtrack have now been released via SoundCloud, including the main theme and the track 'Survival Instinct', which plays during a boss fight. The full soundtrack will be released soon and is already available for pre-order on streaming services such as Amazon and Google (see ads below).
'Farpoint' and the official soundtrack will be available from May 16th.
