The development of Final Fantasy VII Remake Part II It's running at full speed and taking more liberties than the debut chapter. Therefore, it won't adhere so strictly to the original.
This is what co-director Motomu Toriyama said in an interview, specifically referring to the Honeybee Inn scene, which originally featured a pole dancer. This was removed due to the game's ratings, in order to tone it down somewhat.
“This scene is a key example of something that was dramatically changed compared to the original FINAL FANTASY VII,” said Toriyama. “I was a little worried about what fans of the original game would think, but the whole scene was received much more enthusiastically than I could ever have hoped for, so I was quite relieved.”
Adapted to the spirit of the times
Toriyama also expects that even more parts of the remake will differ significantly from the original. Nevertheless, there is hope that an adequate replacement will always be found, or perhaps even that the remake will be improved.

However, the general aim is to adapt the remake to the current zeitgeist so that it not only appeals to the fans of the time, but also attracts a new audience.
“Fans today expect, for example, that stories and dialogues in games go beyond stereotypical gender portrayals. Through lines and lyrics of the accompanying song ‘Stand Up’, for example, we tried to convey a positive and supportive message to Cloud during his cross-dressing scene.”
Ultimately, this leads to the belief that it will leave a stronger, more direct message.
When Final Fantasy VII Remake Part II It is currently unclear when it will be released.
Hopefully not more linear levels... that was my downer about the whole remake.
