Square Enix and Luminous Productions have released a new cinematic trailer for the PS5 exclusive. forspoken, which will be released shortly.
The role-playing game centers on Frey Holland, who mysteriously arrives in the beautiful but treacherous land of Athia from real-world New York. Searching for a way home, Frey must remain true to herself to survive the battles against dangerous beasts and the treacherous Tantas.
forspoken Developed exclusively for the PS5, the game takes full advantage of the console's power. It demonstrates Luminous Productions' philosophy of combining cutting-edge technology with creativity to create a new gaming experience.
In our preview We came to the following assessment of the game:
"Forspoken can definitely be fun if you ignore the humor and Frey's initially annoying character. The story and the world have potential, that much is certain. The magical parkour feels really good paired with the haptic feedback of the PS5 controller. At the same time, it makes the otherwise entertaining combat child's play. That needs improvement, as do the cutscene-to-gameplay transitions and the stiff facial animations."
