Fans of The Sinking City and Sherlock Holmes can rely on Project Palianytsia We're excited for the upcoming game, currently being developed by Frogwares. The title is set in the Victorian era and combines horror with mystery.
They're not revealing much about it yet. Project PalianytsiaThis is more a result of current circumstances. Frogwares is based in Ukraine, where the conflict with Russia continues to rage.
In a statement, the developer explains:
"To be honest, 'Palianytsia' isn't the project we originally planned to do next, but given the war, we had to reassess everything. It's a bit leaner than our recent open-world titles, but it's a game we're confident we can deliver under these extreme circumstances."
As an independent studio, we constantly need to balance our resources and workflow to deliver our games. But the war has placed significant obstacles on us and our established processes. Maintaining constant communication and iteration between teams is more difficult, so we need a project where employees have more autonomy.
That's not so much yet, which is something to consider. Project Palianytsia While it's difficult to say for sure, they promise that the game will be just as ambitious and packed with quality as one has come to expect from Frogwares. The storytelling and the underlying mysteries will therefore not be neglected.
Until then, they are showing the first artwork from the project.
