On February 12th, the time has come: With version 5.4 "Moonlight in Dreams", HoYoverse brings the magical Mikawa Flower Festival to Inazuma and into Genshin Impact back. Players can look forward to nostalgic moments, exciting mini-games and the introduction of a new 5-star character.
The Mikawa Flower Festival, a symbol of the connection between humans and youkai, invites you to a festive atmosphere and creative challenges. Highlights like the game "A Little Fox's Daydream" let you immerse yourself in the dreams of a little fox, while "Bunshin Illusions" tests your thinking skills. Action fans will enjoy "Akitsu Harpastum," where reflexes and dexterity are essential. The collected festival seal stamps can be exchanged for fantastic rewards, including the new 4-star weapon "Tamayuratei no Ohanashi."
Yumemizuki Mizuki: An extraordinary therapist enters the stage.
Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new Anemo character, joins the world of Genshin Impact. This psychotherapist and bathhouse owner supports her party with unique abilities: Her elemental ability, "Dreamy Drift," deals Anemo area-of-effect damage and increases swirl damage. Her special ability summons a small Baku that can either heal or deal Anemo damage, depending on your party's needs. Yumemizuki is therefore a versatile newcomer who can provide both support and damage.
Yumemizuki makes her debut in the first phase of the action prayer, along with the return of Sigewinne. Furina and Wriothesley follow in the second phase. Starting with version 5.5, Yumemizuki is added to the standard prayer.
New features and optimizations
In addition to the festivities, version 5.4 also brings helpful improvements:
- Improvement plansMaterials for character upgrades are clearly displayed.
- Optimized menusFewer clicks for filters and weapon refinement thanks to new features.
- New minigamesFrom fishing games to creative video clips – there's something for everyone.
It starts on February 12, 2025.
This patch is filler; Wuwa will offer more in the next patch. I also find it difficult to play Genshin at the moment because some characters are voiced while others aren't due to AI issues.
Of course, the annoying dubbing voice (Paimon) doesn't strike, and there's no skip button compared to Wuwa.
I think Genshin still has its qualities, like the music and the card game performance (smoother than Wuwa), but Wuwa does everything else better.
