HoYoverse has now released the first details about update 2.6. Genshin Impact It has been announced that the game will be released on March 30th. One of the highlights this time is a brand new area to explore.
This allows players to explore the Great Divide in the far west of Liyue, where further adventures with the Traveling Twins and the Khaenri'ah await. At the same time, players can also visit Inazuma on the other side of the sea, meet the newest 5-star character, Kamisato Ayato, and celebrate the extraordinary Irodori Festival with talents and friends from all over Teyvat.
The Great Chasm, with its purple-red soil and abyssal depths, is Liyue's most important ore source. However, due to a series of mysterious accidents, the entire area has been closed, and it is now home to monsters, treasure hunters, and the Fatui. The new enemy, the Ruin Serpent, and other unknown dangers of the chasm also lurk here.
The main storyline continues with the new Archon quest "Requiem Echoing in the Abyss," accompanied by Dainsleif. Additionally, players will receive a new tool, the "Lumenstone Catalyst," which not only illuminates their path but also helps unlock generous rewards, including a 4-star weapon and a brand-new name tag.
Following the repeal of the Sakoku Decree, Inazuma can now invite talented individuals and guests from across Teyvat to the extraordinary Irodori Festival. Organized by the Yashiro Administration and Yae Miko, this year's festival welcomes Venti, Xingqiu, and many familiar faces to celebrate art and culture together. Numerous rewards await those who participate in the festival's activities, such as taking themed photos for a bard from Mondstadt, clearing levels in the newly renovated Theater of Devices, engaging in sword fighting, or practicing the art of Ikebana. Upon completing all the challenges, players will have the chance to unlock the playable 4-star character, Xingqiu.
Version 2.6 also introduces the new 5-star character Kamisato Ayato for the first time. As the current head of the Yashiro family, the young and talented Kamisato has his own methods and ways of doing things.
Within his Legendary Quest, players will witness Ayato's actions under difficult and unusual circumstances as Inazuma enters a new era of progress. In battle, Ayato wields a one-handed weapon and possesses the Divine Eye imbued with Hydro power. He can inflict high Hydro damage in a short time and enhance the effect of his party's standard attacks. Players can recruit Kamisato Ayato and Venti during the appropriate Action Prayers and witness Kamisato Ayaka's return towards the end of the version. The Weapon Action Prayer includes, among other things, the new 5-star one-handed weapon "Haran Geppaku Futsu" from Inazuma.
