Rumor: Metal Gear Solid 5 – Demon Edition will be released in 2019

Currently, rumors are circulating about a re-release of 'Metal Gear Solid 5', which is supposedly going to be released again as the Demon Edition with drastic changes.

The origin of these rumors is the 4chan forum (via RedditHowever, this site is heavily criticized when it comes to rumors. Essentially, anyone can anonymously spread information there without having to actually substantiate it. Therefore, this report should be treated with extreme caution.

In this case, it is stated that Metal Gear Solid 5 is undergoing a complete story overhaul, including approximately three hours of new cutscenes, while others have been slightly reworked. Ground Zeroes will also be integrated as a full prologue. The aim is to completely abandon Hideo Kojima's original vision for the series.

Furthermore, the game will be fully dubbed in English this time, with Big Boss voiced by Richard Doyle (MGS4 Voice), Kiefer Sutherland will continue to voice Ishmael and the Medic, James Horan as Skullface, and Downes as Kaz.

To ensure the remake stands on its own, the 'V' will be changed to '5', and a release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC is planned. The Switch version will at least receive a light Phantom Pain port.

As mentioned, there is currently absolutely no evidence for the existence of the Metal Gear Solid 5 – Demon Edition, so we simply have to wait and see if these rumors turn out to be true.
