Visceral Games has been working on its own Star Wars game for some time now, which, according to previous information, will be very story-driven. New details have now emerged, including information about the story, characters, and more.
According to reports, the game is being developed under the project name 'Ragtag' and will feature a deep, complex, and rich story that is intended to rival the films. Uncharted writer Amy Hennig has already been confirmed to be involved. involved, so that one can imagine in which direction the game and the story will go.
There are reportedly several main characters, including someone named Dodger, played by Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys). Dodger is said to be not his real name, but rather a code name he uses in battle after fleeing Imperial forces. Dodger is said to originate from Alderaan, after whose destruction he became the most wanted man in the galaxy. This likely explains why the game takes place between 'A New Hope' and directly before 'The Empire Strikes Back'. While working for Jabba the Hutt, Dodger discovers the horrifying truth about an Imperial weapon – the Death Star – leaving him with a difficult choice to make, as well as confronting himself and his past.
Another important main character is Robie Mattox, who has a close relationship with Dodger and plays a central role in the game. She is described as a kind of gunslinger and Dodger's only confidante, both personally and in battle. Like most heroes in the Star Wars universe, Robie's parents were killed when she was young, leaving her to grow up as an orphan on Star Trek 1313 in the care of the Wandering Star Crime Family. She apparently dislikes droids and artificial life and feels more at home with Wuher on Tatooine, which inevitably puts her at odds with Dodger's medic droid.
As usual, none of this information has been confirmed by EA, nor is it really clear when the game will be presented to the public. Until then, this report should be treated with caution, as always.
