Sony has so far denied that the PlayStation Classic will receive any further games, even though the current selection has been heavily criticized. However, if current rumors are to be believed, Sony might still have a surprise in store.
This allows users to access the hardware's source code (via GitHubIt was discovered that the device not only contained simple references to over 30 other games, but that these games were apparently fully available on the hardware and simply needed to be unlocked. How this works, however, is unclear, as the PlayStation Classic has no online connectivity. On the other hand, it is suspected that these games were only installed for testing purposes and not completely removed afterward.

Among the discovered games are highlights such as Silent Hill, Tomb Raider, Driver, and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, which some players would surely have preferred to see on the PlayStation Classic. There's no official confirmation from Sony, of course, so it's now up to the community to investigate further and find a way to activate the games themselves.
