The rumors are piling up again this week, now including one about the return of... Sly Cooper-Preaching a franchise.
That's what the insider says, anyway. Shpeshal_Nick from XboxEra, who cites sources at Sony, but without knowing any details. In this case too, the statement is short and to the point:
"Hey Sly fans. I think this is good news? My 'normal' Sony source (originally told by a more recent source) just confirmed to me that Sly is indeed coming back. That's it. That's all."
The last Sly Cooper game was indeed released several years ago, in 2013. After that, no new game was planned; instead, an animated series was produced.
What motivates Sony to revive this particular series remains to be seen. Nothing is official or even confirmed. Furthermore, it's unclear whether they're giving the franchise a completely new lease on life or if it's just another remaster or something similar.
