With the release of 'Ultra Street Fighter IV', the latest edition of Capcom's popular fighter, hints of a PlayStation 4 version are already mounting.
Producer Yoshi Ono has previously hinted that a PlayStation 4 version is in development. At the time, he mentioned location tests where a DualShock 4 controller could be seen in the background. Now, arcade stick manufacturer Mad Catz has provided an even clearer indication.
The announcement for the new Ultra Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2 states that the arcade stick can be used on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, which would make little sense if the game were only released for PlayStation 3. The specifications also explicitly mention the PlayStation 4.
Although the arcade stick can be used for other fighting games, there aren't that many of them available on PlayStation 4 yet, which can currently be counted on one hand.
Capcom and Sony may announce the game for PS4 as early as next week.
