Contrary to initial expectations, 'Gran Turismo Sport' will not be fully playable in VR mode, but only in a special VR tour.
Gran Turismo creator Kazanori Yamauchi recently revealed at the PS4 Pro event that VR will only allow for a kind of fly-through of the tracks, but not for racing. However, the VR mode will apparently allow users to examine the vehicle models in great detail, which is still quite disappointing for fans.

Is motion sickness a big problem?
The reasons for this could lie in the problems with motion sickness, as DriveClub recently demonstrated so "impressively." Completing an entire lap without feeling nauseous seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Graphically, DriveClub VR was also miles away from the original, so Gran Turismo Sport may have consciously opted against full VR compatibility.
The release date for Gran Turismo Sport is currently unclear.
