CD Projekt will be able to try out their new project 'GWENT: The Witcher Card Game' for the first time at gamescom, as the developer announced today – meaning visitors to the world's largest gaming fair can get started even before the closed beta begins.
In GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, you and your friends experience fast-paced duels – bluffing, split-second decisions, and careful deck building included. A match consists of three rounds in which opponents use their cards to unleash powerful spells and a variety of units with special abilities. They try to outsmart their opponents with clever tricks.
"GWENT exists primarily because of the impressive efforts of the Witcher community – we received tons of messages requesting a standalone version and now we finally have the chance to show GWENT to the public for the first time!" explains Marcin Moment, Senior Social Media and Community Coordinator. "Gamescom is one of those special occasions where we can directly thank the players for their support. So stop by in August, we would be very happy to hear your opinion on GWENT and would love to hear from you personally how GWENT plays and feels for you." Momot adds.
Pre-registration for the closed beta is now open on the official homepage is possible.
