Not even released yet, Hideo Kojima can already celebrate his first award for 'Death Stranding' and himself, which will be released in November.
After the legendary video game developer graced gamescom with his presence in August, he is once again a guest in Cologne today and tomorrow. Tomorrow, October 17th, Hideo Kojima will be presented with the first Cologne Creative Award. According to the organizers, this newly created award... “to a personality who contributes in a visionary and creative way to shaping the future of audiovisual storytelling”.
Especially exciting for fans of his work: Hideo Kojima will be speaking today, October 16th, with the acclaimed director Nicolas Winding Refn about digital boundaries, interactive films, and his latest sci-fi adventure, Death Stranding, which will be released on November 8th for PlayStation 4. Winding Refn also stars as "Heartman" in the game's impressive cast.
The interesting panel discussion between the two visionary filmmakers begins at 2:30 pm and will be streamed live on Rocket Beans TV broadcast as part of the “Cinema+” format.
