While all next-gen consoles saw a significant boost compared to the last-gen, and HITMAN 3 Now running at a constant 60fps compared to 30fps/1080p (last-gen), the XSX has a slight advantage in resolution, promising native 4K. The PS5 manages 1800p, but compensates with more features.

In detail, all versions are identical, including in terms of texture quality, which on PS5 and XSX corresponds to the highest PC settings. Differences still exist in the shadows, which are rated as medium on PS5 and high on XSX.

Regardless, IO Interactive is praised for its excellent work across all platforms, with the PS5's lower resolution being imperceptible. According to Digital Foundry, the game looks fantastic everywhere, and where the PS5 falls short, it compensates with exclusive features like the DualSense controller.

HITMAN 3 is available now on all platforms.

The PS5 version runs locked at 60fps, the Xbox version only at 50fps and with frame rate drops.

Yes, only in that one scene, while the shadows are nicer on the Xbox and the resolution is native 4K. You should mention that too 😉

PS5 only medium shadows? I'm still very happy with my day-one PS5, but Sony has simply focused too much on the SSD. And it doesn't make any difference at all… (loading 1-2 seconds faster… lol)
