IO Interactive is bringing fresh content to HITMAN World of Assassination. At the Game Awards, the studio introduced Milla Jovovich as the latest Celebrity Elusive Target. Her mission, “Patient Zero Requiem”, is available free of charge from now until March 24th—staying true to the franchise's signature limited-time format.
Jovovich plays Lilith Devereux, the designated CEO of Ether Corporation. Those familiar with the lore know that Ether has been synonymous with morally questionable research for years. Now, there's more to it than just a power shift.
Dartmoor is once again becoming the focal point of an escalating Ether agenda
The mission takes Agent 47 back to Dartmoor, to the Carlisle family estate. There, Lilith Devereux officially assumes leadership of Ether, while her rise is accompanied by a series of mysterious deaths. Gregory Carlisle supports her politically, but according to the briefing, the real risk lies deeper. Beneath the estate lies a biological secret that Devereux apparently intends to unleash.
The trailer suggests that she has already manipulated those around her. Guests become a "vector army," and every encounter could become a source of infection. Whether this remains purely narrative embellishment or becomes tangible in gameplay mechanics, IO hasn't yet clarified. Should the mission indeed feature altered NPC routines or new environmental hazards, it would be a meaningful twist for the familiar Dartmoor layout. So far, only the objective has been confirmed: eliminate Lilith Devereux before the situation escalates.
Celebrity targets remain a calculated risk.
Milla Jovovich undoubtedly brings presence to the role. She describes her character herself as "Dangerous, ambitious, and with a dark secret"IO CEO Hakan Abrak speaks of the intensity she brings to the mission. This fits with the studio's strategy, according to "Eminem vs. Slim Shady“to once again combine pop culture with classic stealth design.”
The approach works as long as the mechanics remain the focus. Elusive Targets thrive on the fact that there are no second chances. One mistake, and that's it. Those who are quick enough can try to abort the mission and restart. The fact that the mission is free to play lowers the barrier to entry. This offers newcomers a clear test run, while veterans can see how much the setting has actually changed.
HITMAN World of Assassination continues to rely on an event structure instead of full-price DLC.
With "Patient Zero Requiem," IO sticks with the event model. Time-limited content keeps the community active without bloating the base game. At the same time, it creates artificial pressure, as availability and rewards are tied to tight timeframes. Anyone who doesn't have time this month is out of luck.
The bottom line is HITMAN World of Assassination This is exactly what makes the series strong: a clearly defined goal, a familiar area with potentially new dynamics and enough space for creative solutions.
Time is ticking!
Whether it's a graphic or real, she always looks hot.
