Back in February, Deep Silver announced the final DLC and PS4 Pro support for 'Homefront: The Revolution', which they are presenting in detail today. The final chapter is called 'Beyond the Wall' and represents the largest DLC to date.
In terms of content describes One might say this today:
"The story takes place in a new, rural setting outside the walls of Philadelphia, which will seem familiar to fans of the original Homefront. Fans of the series will probably find it interesting that the overall story and ending of Beyond the Wall is actually a revival of a storyline from the original proposal for the game in a very early draft, so we are indeed coming full circle."
PS4 Pro support and new features
PS4 Pro support was also unveiled today, along with new features that include rendering Homefront: The Revolution in 1440p and then upscaling it to 4K. HDR is also included, and all front-end menus, in-game IU layers, and Easter eggs are displayed in 4K.
New Trail Mode
Another feature is the new Trail mode, which is explained as follows:
"The trial mode allows new players to experience the main campaign up to the point where Benjamin Walker reaches the first yellow zone. This is 2 to 4 hours of gameplay, in which players are given a good introduction to Homefront's unique open-world guerrilla warfare."
The Trail mode also unlocks the Online Resistance mode, a complete cooperative multiplayer mode including a full leveling system for players, hundreds of customizable items, multiple replayable missions, and no hidden costs.
The new DLC 'Beyond the Wall' will be available from Wednesday.
