A few days ago, developer Guerilla Games confirmed that the patch only weighs 250MB and not 16 gigabytes, even though the game first needs to be installed on the PS4 to start playing. The Day One patch will then simply add a few graphical options, from which PS4 Pro owners in particular will benefit, including adjustments to resolution and HDR presets.

"Horizon: Zero Dawn will receive a small day one patch that builds on PS4 Pro support, as well as adding a performance mode that promotes a smoother frame rate while ensuring higher visual fidelity in 1080p mode. This mode is available for both 4K and 1080p displays."

The Day One Patch for Horizon: Zero Dawn is not yet available in Europe and is therefore expected no later than the release on March 01st or a few days before.
