A Steam update for RoboCop: Rogue City replaces game files with an unannounced Hunter: The Reckoning build by Teyon. All the details on the leak!

Instead of a metal policeman, suddenly there is World of DarknessA Steam update for RoboCop: Rogue City accidentally corrupted the game files with an unannounced build of Hunter: The Reckoning Replaced. The community is in an uproar as the first screenshots of an unfinished action role-playing game circulate.

Who is currently RoboCop: Rogue City Anyone who wanted to launch it on Steam could hardly believe their eyes. Several reports on X to confirmThat a faulty patch replaced the entire game. The most bizarre leak of the year.

Instead of Detroit being hit by a hail of bullets, an early build of a new Hunter: The Reckoning on the players' hard drives. This mishap grants us a completely unfiltered glimpse behind the scenes at developer Teyon, who are apparently working on the next revival of a cult franchise. That an entire project escapes so unprotected into the wilderness is an absolute disaster for the studio, but for fans, it's a highly exciting piece of the puzzle.

A glimpse into the unfinished World of Darkness

The leaked version is timestamped May 20, 2025, and shows a game in a very early, unpolished state. Screenshots from the menu and credits leave no doubt: Teyon is deep in development. World of Darkness-Universe.

While the older High Voltage Software titles were beloved for their brutal co-op action, this build still looks like a work in progress. It's the kind of material we're normally never supposed to see – full of placeholders and lacking the final graphical polish. It remains to be seen whether we're looking at a project that's still actively in development or has already met its demise.

The comeback of Imbued?

What makes this discovery so intriguing is the history of the series. After the release of "The Beast of Glenkilvore" in early 2025, the community is eagerly awaiting a true console and PC experience in the spirit of the Xbox classics. Hunter: The Reckoning It always thrived on the atmosphere of the "Imbued" – people who suddenly recognize the monsters around them and resort to weapons.

If Teyon acquired this license after the success of RoboCop, we could expect a dark action RPG with powerful feedback. An accident of this magnitude will hopefully now force the publisher to issue an official statement.

This is a PR nightmare, really, but for me as a fan, the news is a real heart-pounding experience. Teyon proved with RoboCop that they can breathe life into AA licenses. If this leak means we're really getting a modern version... Hunter: The Reckoning If I get a build that captures the dark atmosphere of the tabletop source material, I'm immediately on board. Despite the leak's incompleteness, the mere existence of this build is a huge promise to everyone. World of Darkness-Trailer.

What do you think: Is this the ultimate leak, or is it a discontinued project that only accidentally survived in the Steam backend?

I'm currently playing RoboCop Rogue City, but the update didn't appear for me. It could be a new type of promotion, because it's unlikely something like this would happen accidentally. A lot would have to go wrong for that to happen.
