After less than two years, Ubisoft is already pulling the plug on its battle royale title. Hyper scape, which will be taken offline at the end of April. Success was virtually nonexistent, and a player base also seems to have disappeared.

In a statement, the publisher explains:

"We have made the difficult decision to end development of Hyper Scape and discontinue the game on April 28th. We set out to create a vertical, fast-paced, close-quarters shooter experience, and we are very grateful to our community for joining us on our journey. We will incorporate the key lessons learned from this game into future products."

Many thanks to the Hyper Scape community for your passion and dedication to the world of Neo Arcadia, both in and out of the game. Your commitment to the game we have developed is always appreciated.

The genre is oversaturated.

The failure of Hyper scape This became apparent shortly after release, which is why the game was revamped with seasons. But even that couldn't save the title in the fiercely competitive battle royale genre. The idea was cool, but the market is pretty saturated.

They already had their own ideas to bring fresh ideas to the game by introducing innovative gameplay mechanics such as hacks, fusion, decay, showdown, and much more.

For content creators Hyper scape also developed, which, together with the CrownCast extension and Twitch, offered a unique viewer experience and new ways for streamers to interact live with their community.

The final day is April 28, 2022!
