SEGA today announced the release of the popular trendsetter and Dreamcast classic of 2000, “Jet Set Radio™”.

DJ Professor K, Beat, Gum, and all the GGs are back in this enhanced HD version of "Jet Set Radio," tearing up the streets and vying for control of the futuristic Tokyo-to by marking their territory with graffiti on walls, billboards, and rival gang members. The sophisticated gameplay, genre-bending soundtrack, and cutting-edge graphics of "Jet Set Radio" will be available this summer on Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and as a download for PC.

In "Jet Set Radio," the player becomes a member of the GGs, an up-and-coming street gang in the futuristic city of Tokyo-to, and fights against a dominant, corporate-controlled police force for their right to self-expression. The player takes on the role of Beat, the gang's leader, and rolls and jumps through overcrowded urban environments on magnetically powered inline skates. His ever-growing band of rebellious artists covers the city with colorful graffiti, conquering the territories of other local gangs. Led by Professor K, the DJ of "Jet Set Radio," the city's hottest station, the GGs uncover the sinister plot being hatched by the powers that control Tokyo-to.

“Every time we deal with SEGA’s most popular classics, fans ask for “Jet Set Radio”, said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. "At the time of its initial release, the game was unlike any other. It was also one of the first games ever to use cel-shading. And more importantly, 'Jet Set Radio' is a game that celebrates artistic self-expression, and we're excited to see how players and artists will come together to put their own stamp on Tokyo-to."
