Square Enix has confirmed the release date of the second major expansion pack, 'Mech Land Assault', for 'Just Cause 3', which will be released in June.
As in 'Sky Fortstress', you can expect new action missions, new enemies, weapons, gadgets, and unique vehicles that will turn the world of Just Cause 3 upside down. Among these is an armored mech equipped with a gravity gun, allowing you to lift objects and hurl them with considerable force in any direction. Despite its mass, the mech is remarkably agile and unlike anything else in the game.
Mech Land Assault takes hero Rico Rodriguez to a new island, Lacrima, home to an abandoned eDEN Corporation base and a prison camp operated by the mysterious Black Hand and protected by powerful mechs. To disable their shields and take control, Rico needs his new, powerful Bavarium Core Rifle. Aboard a mech, Rico can use its powerful weapons and the GRIP gravity weapon to hurl large objects at enemies.
"The Bavarium wingsuit from the Sky Fortress expansion fundamentally changed the way Rico moves around Medici. This time, we wanted to fundamentally change the way Rico interacts with his environment." said Tobias Andersson, Senior Producer at Avalanche Studios. "The new mechs allow Rico to throw vehicles and chaos objects like tennis balls at enemies, thus expanding the scope for physics-based fun. Whether juggling small cars or bringing helicopters down, the mechs expand the possibilities for creating creative chaos in the game world in an explosive way."
Season Pass holders can download the DLC for free starting June 03rd, while all other players will get their chance a week later. The final expansion pack is called 'Bavarium Sea Heist' and will be presented in detail in the coming months.
