Technical improvements would be beneficial

The aforementioned upgrades may sound unspectacular at first, but they are technically not trivial. 4K output and more stable frame rates are possible. Kingdom Come: Deliverance A noticeable improvement, especially considering the notoriously inconsistent performance of the PS4 version. High-resolution textures suggest more than just a simple patch, but don't guarantee a full-fledged remaster.

It also remains unclear whether owners of the PS4 version can upgrade for free. Without clear communication, there is a risk that this will result in a paid re-release or a PS5-specific re-release without an upgrade path.

Warhorse's silence and a possible timing clue

Warhorse Studios itself is remaining tight-lipped. After the last DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was only from “something new on the horizon“They spoke about it, but there are no concrete statements regarding the future of the original. Aside from that, director Daniel Vávra has recently been more noticeable for industry-political commentary than for game announcements.”

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 It has been available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC since February 2025, has received numerous awards and sold four million copies by November.
