Warhorse Studios today announced the expansion 'Band of Bastards'for their role-playing game 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance', and they are showing the official launch trailer.
The new expansion allows players to join a group of mercenaries dedicated to protecting travelers on the roads of medieval Bohemia. Caught in a web of old intrigues and ever-renewed hostilities between Lord Radzig Kobyla and another noble family, this band is hired by Radzig to protect his realm. Players join this group of unsavory characters, led by Lord Kuno von Reichwaldau, not only to assist them but also to ensure their continued dedication to their mission.
Regarding the expansion, the developer writes:
"Ready for a new adventure? The roads are no longer safe, and now a new threat has set its sights on your ugly head. As Sir Radzig's loyal servant, you, Henry, must deal with it. But you're not alone—for better or worse—you're traveling with a notorious band of mercenaries tasked with restoring order to the domain. But what if the cure is worse than the disease?"
The roads around Rattay are far from safe, so Lord Radzig Kobyla hires an old friend—the impoverished but cunning Lord Kuno von Reichwaldau and his infamous band of mercenaries. Radzig sends Henry to show the men around…and to keep their insatiable hunger for trouble in check. Together they patrol the province and soon discover that Radzig's arch-enemies from the past have returned to settle old scores. The two bands give each other no quarter in their merciless battle, which ultimately culminates in an inevitable showdown.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance – 'Band of Bastards' is available now. This will be followed later by 'A Woman's Lot', which the early backers of the original Kickstarter campaign can especially look forward to.
