In about a month, the long-awaited role-playing game 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance' from Warhorse Studios will be released, and the final technical details are now available.
Anyone who was already dreaming of 4K will unfortunately be somewhat disappointed, because according to Warhorse PR Manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling explains that the PS4 Pro achieves a native resolution of 1080p with slightly improved global illumination and particle effects, while the base PS4 and Xbox One versions run at 900p. The Xbox One X version boasts a resolution of 1440p, plus top-quality global illumination, more and better shadows, improved lighting, and higher levels of detail (LOD) compared to the Xbox One version. The game's frame rate hasn't been revealed yet, but players should expect the usual 30fps for a title of this scale.
Stolz-Zwilling also emphasizes in this context that they pushed all platforms to their limits, but remained within the limitations of the CryEngine used, which they adapted for the game as needed. However, the CryEngine's HDR support is an obstacle, as it is still not supported in the version used and therefore cannot be implemented in the game.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be released worldwide on February 13, 2018.
