Although not part of the official E3 program, Square Enix is showing a new trailer for 'Kingdom Hearts III' today, including the story and further gameplay scenes featuring Sora, Goofy and Donald.
In this action-packed trailer, they help fight various forms of Heartless on Mount Olympus. Fans will see Sora in a new form that allows him to unleash particularly powerful attacks against his enemies, both solo and in a group. A new look at the game's plot also reveals a reunion of Disney villains Hades, Maleficent, and Pete as they discuss the location of a mysterious object, while Sora faces a dilemma in his quest to bring back an old friend.
The trailer was released as part of the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World Tour and also serves as a reminder of the D23 Expo 2017, where more content will be revealed. This takes place on July 15th.
Very little is known about the game itself and its current development status. The official announcement was four years ago, and it has since been remastered several times. Square Enix is planning a release by 2020, which isn't exactly encouraging for fans.
