Bonus for bestehende Spieler
Who visites knockout city Those who have already purchased the game or acquired it through PlayStation Plus will receive a small bonus for the transition to free-to-play in the form of the Loyalty Royalty Bundle. This includes some exclusive and legendary cosmetics, XP boosts, and 2,000 Holobux.
Otherwise, not much will change with the Free-to-Play switch:
"The core of the game remains unchanged! Our stance of not having loot boxes remains the same. Holobux will continue to be earned either through gameplay or redeemed in the platform stores, where, as always, they can be spent on cosmetics and other items in the Brawl Shop."
Whether the developers will opt for further monetization methods in the future, such as in-game advertising, is currently undecided. However, they have already ruled out a quiet, covert switch to pay-to-win.
"We have no intention of adding anything to the game that resembles pay-to-win. One of the core principles of Knockout City's design is fair competition, and we don't intend to jeopardize that by changing our business model. Unlockables will continue to be purely cosmetic and will have no impact on gameplay (except perhaps fear of striking fear into the hearts of your opponents)."
Furthermore, it says that one knockout city will continue to monitor cheaters and those who try to exploit the game. No cheaters will be tolerated, and action will be taken quickly against accounts that exploit the game.
Knockout City will be available as a free-to-play game from June 1st. Further details can be found in the [link/document/etc.]. official FAQ.
