Konami today announced the first major update of the 2024/25 season for "eFootball". This update brings numerous new features and exciting in-game campaigns designed to thrill fans of the popular football simulator.
New gameplay features
The update introduces a multitude of changes to the gameplay experience. KONAMI analyzed community feedback and made some of the most important adjustments based on it. One significant change concerns contract restrictions. Users can now use all players they have ever signed without restriction – even those whose contracts have expired. This allows for even more flexible team building.
Furthermore, automatic options for player progression have been introduced. These simplify the complex balancing process for players when leveling up their characters. Player progress can now be reset at any time without having to spend GP (Game Points).
Another new feature is "Finesse Dribble". This function improves the user-friendliness of dribbling and opens up even more tactical options for players to prove themselves strategically in attack and defense.
Also new is the "Booster Slot." This feature allows players to customize their attributes and add additional boosts. This is done using Booster Tokens, which are available in 17 different types. Several football legends, such as Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Ludovic Giuly, and Deco, appear in this update as Epic cards with unlockable Booster Slots.
New in-game campaigns
The update also brings a range of new campaigns and bonuses for all players. Newcomers and experienced players alike can strengthen their dream teams and enhance the gameplay experience in both single-player and co-op modes.
Upon completion of the "Skill Up" tutorial, players will receive an exclusive Showtime card of Lionel Messi. Additionally, during the campaign period, they can win up to seven Booster Tokens, seven Skill Training Programs, and 300 eFootball Coins as free login bonuses.
The new "Startup Campaign" offers further exclusive gifts, including highlight tickets from Robert Lewandowski (FC Barcelona) and Leroy Sané (FC Bayern). There are also two highlight prize draws for FC Barcelona and FC Bayern.
By completing campaign achievements and tour events, users can collect a variety of in-game items and further improve their team for promotion in the world's leading free-to-play football simulation.
Special "Ambassador Editions" featuring Messi and Neymar
Alongside the updates, new "Ambassador Editions" of eFootball™ will also be released, centered around the world-famous ambassadors Lionel Messi and Neymar. These packs include, in addition to the respective ambassadors, ten other world-class players who once played alongside them.
