With the release of Tape 2 Lost Records: Bloom And Rage now complete. The latest story adventure from Don't Nod - the makers of Life is Strange - tells a deeply emotional story about friendship, forgiveness and the power of shared memories. And as befits a narrative-driven game, there are several possible outcomes to choose from at the end. In this article, we reveal what these are - and how to reach them.

A story about relationships - not decisions

In contrast to the studio's previous games, where everything often came down to one big decision, things are different here. Lost Records: Bloom And Rage focuses more on the interplay of many small moments that ultimately form the big picture. It's not about "left or right", but about how you behave towards your friends Swann, Autumn, Nora and Kat. Whether you listen. Whether you are honest. Whether you take your time. And whether you dare to allow closeness.

Because that is exactly what Lost RecordsAbout closeness. About missed opportunities. And the question of whether a friendship that once meant everything can stand the test of time.

The "bad" end - loneliness and alienation

In our own playthrough, we made a conscious decision not to enter into any of the possible romantic options. Time and again, the game offers opportunities to invest in deeper emotional bonds - but we consistently refused. The result? An ending in which each character goes their own way, the old bonds are just vague memories and the final band meeting feels more like a compulsory event. Not a classic happy ending - but what happens when you close yourself off emotionally.

Ironically, according to global rankings, it is precisely this end that is currently the most frequently reached. A reflection of our reality?

The ultimate ending - friendship, music and one last performance

You will achieve the best results if you continuously invest in your relationships. This means: giving honest answers, paying attention to hints, responding empathetically. Some example scenes:

  • Autumn's requesther toothbrush and magazine. Anyone who has been paying attention here knows what her things are - and that small gestures have a big impact.
  • The truth-or-dare gamewhere you have to decide whether to kiss someone or not. A scene that strongly influences your attitude towards closeness and relationships.
  • The scene on the precipice with Coreywhere you can decide whether to intervene or not. A decisive moment, especially for Kat's fate.

If you master all these moments sensitively, you will end up in a scenario in which all three women find each other again. They play together again as a band, laugh, remember - and it feels like a real happy ending.

The intermediate paths - sometimes friend, sometimes stranger

There are two other endings between these two extremes: In one you remain friends only with Autumn, in the other only with Nora. Both variants show subtle shifts in the group structure without breaking up completely. They are bittersweet - and in some ways more realistic than the ultimate ending.

But what doesn't change at all ends: Swann returns to the abyss at the end - and steps into it. A scene that leaves room for interpretation. Is it a symbolic conclusion? A return to the past? Or something more? Don't Nod deliberately leaves us in the dark.

And what happens next?

With Bloom And Rage the story of the four girls seems to be complete. A direct sequel is probably not planned. But the universe of Lost Records could certainly be expanded - perhaps with new characters, a different setting or a homage to 80s classics like Stand by Me or The Goonies. A group of boys, a summer full of secrets, more adventure - and your heart in the right place again? Sounds like an idea that has potential.
