Mafia: The Old Country will receive the "Man of Honor" DLC on August 14th. Hangar 13 will release two new story chapters featuring Enzo and Ennio Salieri for PC and consoles.

Mafia: The Old Country will receive the story expansion “Man of Honor” on August 14, 2026, which delivers two new chapters about the protagonist Enzo as well as fresh content for the free-roam mode.

Publisher 2K and developer Hangar 13 are shifting the action back to late summer in Sicily in 1905. The DLC fills a gap in the main character's biography and directly links the backstory to the known events of the series.

The return of Ennio Salieri

The two new chapters of "Man of Honor" are set in the winter of 1905, a few months after Enzo's initiation into the Torrisi family. The plot centers on a collaboration with Ennio Salieri. Series veterans will recognize him as the Don of the Salieri family and the main antagonist from the original Mafia and its remake. In this expansion, Salieri has just been released from prison and is attempting to re-establish his power in the Valle Dorata territory. Enzo and his partner Cesare are assigned to assist him.

Hangar 13 utilizes the proven prequel concept to bring historical character development to life, expanding the lore. For players, this translates to new environments, additional weapons, vehicles, and equippable charms. These additions are seamlessly integrated into the existing structure of the game world.

Extreme challenges in free-roam mode

In addition to the linear story, the developers have expanded the "Free Ride" mode. Salieri now acts as a new client, offering a series of extreme challenges. This is reminiscent of the traditional, often challenging bonus missions of the previous games, which, aside from the cinematic presentation, demand the players' driving and shooter skills.

Additionally, the update integrates new collectibles and previously inaccessible locations within the Sicilian setting. Those who have already completed the main game will find this a clear incentive to return. The added value here comes primarily from the gameplay variety, not from artificially extending the playtime.

Hangar 13 delivers exactly what you'd expect from a classic story expansion with "Man of Honor": a meaningful narrative bridge for fans and mechanical content for completionists. The August release will be simultaneous on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Those who enjoyed the dense atmosphere of the main game will find more of the same here, without any experimentation.
