It starts on January 10th. the first season “Empire of Eternal Night“in the online shooter launched at the end of 2024 Marvel RivalsIn addition to new heroes and a fresh batch of challenges, the first season also brings three new maps, which, however, will not be unlocked simultaneously. The first of these is Sanctum Sanctorum, familiar from Doctor Strange, which has now been presented in more detail in a new video.
This is what the new map looks like.
The Sanctum Sanctorum is Doctor Strange's New York base and is best known for its large, round window. While the house appears relatively unremarkable from the outside, all sorts of mystical and bizarre elements await your discovery inside.
Reality and the supernatural increasingly blur, and the set design is elegant and impressive. The trailer includes a portrait of Wong, who has not yet appeared in Marvel Rivals. The magician may also make an appearance at a later date.
The Sanctum Sanctorum is also the setting for a completely new game mode. In "Doom Match," 8-12 players compete against each other in a free-for-all. Whoever manages to leave at least 50% of the other players behind emerges as the winner of this mode.

The first season revolves around Dracula and Doctor Doom. The two villains have imprisoned Doctor Strange in the Astral Realm and brought darkness to New York. This, in turn, brings the Fantastic Four into the picture, who rush to defend the metropolis and will, of course, be playable as new characters.
Later in the season, two more maps, also set in New York, will be added to the game. "New York City's Midtown" and "Central Park" will take the heroes to other locations in the city that never sleeps and are sure to hold further surprises and secrets. The exact release date for these two maps is currently unknown.
