Square Enix will release the in August Marvel's Avengers-Extension Black Panther – War for Wakanda, which will be free for all players. Besides Black Panther, the expansion includes also includes two new villains, a brand new location to explore, new enemies, the outpost and capital of Wakanda “Birnin Zana”, new drop zone and threat sector missions for single player, multiplayer and more.
The biggest update yet
This is Marvel's Avengers: Black Panther – War for Wakanda The biggest content update to date, as Square Enix emphasizes. This includes a total of eight playable heroes, more than 25 hours of single-player campaign content (from the release of the main game to the expansion) and tons of multiplayer action for up to four players. Additionally, there are plans to regularly introduce new modes and events where players can customize their favorite superheroes with dozens of outfits inspired by Marvel comics and movies.
The story of the free expansion War for Wakanda The story revolves around King T'Challa, the Black Panther, loyal protector and current ruler of Wakanda. Shaken by betrayal and the ensuing tragedy, T'Challa struggles to entrust his duty to anyone else—even his sister, Shuri. At the same time, he must confront those who seek to harm Wakanda. When the forces of the arch-villain Klaue threaten Wakanda's safety, T'Challa must face them to defend everything and everyone he holds dear.
Players experience the game's story and additional missions in the ongoing Avengers Initiative set in the lush jungles of Wakanda, an entirely new location and the only place in the world where vibranium is found. They also explore the Royal Palace, which rises above Birnin Zana, the "Golden City"—a new outpost containing Shuri's laboratory, Zawavari's spiritual leader's chambers, and Wakanda's briefing room.
