Metal Gear Solid Remake not planned after all (Update)

Hideo Kojima has Reports Rejected, as they are currently looking for a studio to create a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid.

According to Kojima based This report was based on a translation error, which stated that such a remake would only be considered if there were a studio somewhere that would do it with love and passion. Then Kojima would ask them.

Kojima Productions currently lacks the capacity for such an implementation, as they are currently busy with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and other projects.

Just Add Water, the developers behind games like Strangers Wrath, have addressed an open letter to Kojima Productions expressing their interest in a remake. It remains unclear whether Kojima Productions will respond.
