As before supposed, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was announced for the next-gen consoles at the Microsoft press conference currently taking place in Los Angeles.
"To celebrate the success and great popularity of the METAL GEAR SOLID series, we are doing everything we can to present the upcoming title to our fans on the latest consoles," so says Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. "We look forward to offering players the usual high-quality and intense gaming experience of a METAL GEAR title, and also bringing new and innovative aspects to the game."
The new METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN trailer showcases the exceptional level of photorealistic graphics quality of the FOX Engine, seamlessly integrating gameplay and cutscenes. The title introduces a new open-world game design, including real-time weather changes, a realistic passage of time, and a variety of different ways to traverse the expansive new environments. In addition to familiar characters from the series, such as Snake, Kazuhira Miller, Ocelot, and Emmerich, METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN introduces entirely new characters to the METAL GEAR universe. The storyline focuses on serious themes like the tragedy and misery of war, telling the tale of a legendary hero who falls from grace.
METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN will be released for PS3, PS4, Xbox360 and Xbox One.
