Anyone who's been to gamescom these days has probably wondered what the legendary Grave Digger is doing at the official THQ Nordic booth.
The answer came today, as the publisher announced a new licensing agreement with Feld Entertainment for the development of new Monster Jam video games. Together with Rainbow Studios (MX vs ATV), new games are planned based on the Monster Jam truck racing and freestyle experience, which attracts more than four million visitors worldwide annually and boasts a huge merchandising empire that appeals to all age groups.
“As long-time Monster Jam fans, we are thrilled by the recent, rapid and international expansion of the sport; it is a unique combination of trucks, tracks, drivers and dirt that excites stadium audiences around the world and leaves them wanting more,” said Klemens Kreuzer, CEO of THQ Nordic. "We want to create an experience where fans feel like they are in the driver's seat, performing spectacular stunts in packed stadiums around the world."
The first game in the Monster Jam series will be released in 2019.
