NetherRealm Studios is apparently working on next-gen ports of Mortal Kombat and Injustice, as recent job postings indicate. Both games are mentioned in these postings for the new platforms.
More specifically, they are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer, which is intended to drive the graphical requirements for both franchises on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Presumably, corresponding ports or backward compatibility are in development, which will take advantage of the new hardware.
"As Principal Graphics Engineer, they work closely with the Lead Engineer and the other teams to develop cutting-edge graphics technology for the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Their domain spans the entire rendering pipeline, while optimizing, designing, and implementing key new graphics technologies are among their responsibilities."
While this isn't official confirmation that the games will actually be announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X, the chances seem quite high. A port of [game title] would be the most likely outcome. Mortal Kombat X, which is still quite young.
