The first episode of the announced web series – Mortal Kombat Legacy – is now available online in its entirety. The 12-minute episode features the actors Jax (Michael Jai White), Striker (Tamoh Pennikett), Sonya Blade (Jeri Ryan), and Kano (Darren Shahlavi).
The web series is produced by Kevin Tancharoen, who places particular emphasis on ensuring that the web series doesn't descend into trashiness like the original films did. The aim is to tell an authentic story.

The second episode will be released next week, and a preview trailer has already been released. More Mortal Kombat content will be available starting April 21st, when the latest installment in the video game series is released.
