Warner Bros. is currently preparing a major update for MultiVersus, which will be released next week. It also appears that Big Chungus has been chosen as the next character for the roster.
The next update confirms Game Director Tony Huynh on twitter, after which the focus will be on Guild and the store. Beyond that, updates to the core system, general stability, and bug fixes are planned.
In detail, it states:
"Hi, the team is working on getting guilds and the store up and running, but it will still take a little while. Our main focus remains on the core systems, stability, and bug fixes. Next week's patch will be one of our biggest yet, adding lots of cool features. We're getting closer every day."

Big Chungus soon to be on the MultiVersus roster?
Aside from that, references to Big Chungus were found in the roster of Multi Versus A corresponding trademark application was filed with the European Union Intellectual Property Office on August 26, indicating availability in the near future.
Big Chungus is an enlarged version of Bugs Bunny, used to mock his longtime nemesis Elmer Fudd. The name itself is derived from a meme invented by the community and later officially adopted by Warner Bros. Big Chungus has already appeared in Looney Tunes – World of Mayhem and in Space Jam: A New Legacy.
Meanwhile, I am pleased Multi Versus with increasing popularity and currently boasts more than 20 million players worldwide. This milestone follows the start of Multi Versus 1 Season , which began on August 15th with a new Battle Pass.
