Developer Toys for Bob may be working on the return of SpyroA new series is planned for this year. Rumors about it have been circulating for some time, but now there's also the fear that a new game will be exclusive to Xbox.

Spyro exclusive to Xbox?
However, a lot has changed at Activision and Toys for Bob since then, both of which now belong to Microsoft. Could a new [product/service] actually be in the works? SpyroThe game, which is in development, could initially be released exclusively for Xbox Series X|S, even though the brand has a long tradition on PlayStation.
Microsoft's Phil Spencer recently confirmed that they will review all of Activision's fan-favorite brands for a revival, including Spyro, Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk and others.
"First, we'll visit all the newly acquired Activision teams to find out where their passion lies. That's inspiring. But we're not in a hurry to return to fan-favorite franchises just for the sake of it. Players won't see any revivals or new games in an Activision Blizzard series created solely by Microsoft for financial gain or as a PR announcement."
